Clinics & Camps

We offer two distinct clinics: Shooting & Finishing and 1st Touch.

The Shooting & Finishing clinic is designed for advanced players looking to refine their goal-scoring techniques.

The 1st Touch clinic is open to players of all ages and skill levels, focusing on developing control and confidence on the ball.

We are based in Middle Tennessee but we also provide clinics or camps in other areas both in and outside of Tennessee. Click here to contact us.

Shooting & Finishing

The emphasis of the Shooting & Finishing clinics and camps is on attacking principles of play with a focus on data-informed exercises for scoring goals - the hardest part of the gameSee the images below for the key transition and finishing zones (14 & 17) along with the xG heat map.

What if I am not a forward/striker?

Because the fundamental movement skills of shooting and finishing are highly dynamic, all field positions will benefit from these exercises by increasing their perception-action coupling ability — a requisite for all high performers in every position.

The curriculum for the Shooting & Finishing clinics and camps was created using current soccer analytics to accelerate learning and execution. The clinics and camps are designed to maximize the transfer of training to match performance for both attackers and defenders.

The Shooting & Finishing clinics and camps are tailored to the advanced level player and open to all positions (including goalkeepers) ages 11-18.

1st Touch

The 1st Touch clinics and camps are designed for players of all ages, providing a crucial foundation for technical development at every stage of their soccer journey.

A player’s first touch is the cornerstone of all soccer skills, distinguishing high-performing players from others. Research consistently highlights technical ability as essential for being skillful, with skill serving as a strong predictor of future performance. International talent identification scouts recognize technical proficiency as one of the most significant indicators of long-term success in soccer.

The primary objective of the 1st Touch program is to create a learner-centered environment where players at all developmental levels refine their technical skills to a high-performing, functional level. The program maximizes the transfer of training to match performance through an evidence-informed approach to skill development.

The 1st Touch curriculum is structured around technical exercises that equip players with the competence and confidence needed to excel in match situations.

Curriculum

  • Ball control enables players to retain possession, evade opponents, and create scoring opportunities.

  • Dribbling allows players to advance up the field, create space, and beat defenders.

  • Passing (short, long, and through passes) helps maintain possession and generate attacking chances.

  • Finishing focuses on accuracy, power, and different shooting techniques, ensuring players can confidently score from various angles and distances.

“It is not the quantity of overall practice that is crucial, but rather the quantity of focused and effortful (deliberate) practice which differentiates between more and less accomplished individuals” (Ericsson et al., 1993).
